MINA

With origins from a variety cultures, Mina has different meanings. 

One translation is “love” from the Old German name Minna. It is also a nickname for Wilhelmina, meaning “will helmet” similar to the Old English “myne”, meaning With Gilded Helmet. Symbolising strength, bravery and nobility, the name can be traced back to medieval times. To show off their status and valour, knights and warriors would adorn with their helmets with gilded ornaments. In Persian, Mina has a few meanings including “stained (tinted) glass mirror” or “glass bead”.
